How to Fix CVE-2026-104873

To remediate this vulnerability, upgrade all affected Langgraph sdk dependencies to a patched release. Both direct and transitive dependencies should be checked, as frameworks or security libraries may pull in vulnerable versions transitively.

langgraph-sdk fixed: 0.4.4
pip install langgraph-sdk>=0.4.4
Verify Direct and Transitive Dependencies

Run the following command in your project directory to verify that all resolved dependencies use the patched release:

pip show langgraph-sdk

How to Check if You Are Affected

To determine whether your Python environment is affected by CVE-2026-104873, inspect your installed packages using pip:

pip show langgraph-sdk

Analyze the terminal output to locate any version of Langgraph sdk in your dependency tree. If any resolved version matches the vulnerable ranges listed in the table below (for example, versions earlier than 0.4.4), your application is affected.

Note: The pip show langgraph-sdk command checks currently installed packages in your active Python environment.

Technical Details

Vulnerability Mechanism & Technical Analysis

This vulnerability is classified under CWE-863: Incorrect Authorization, where the product performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action, but it does not correctly perform the check. In Langgraph sdk, software state validation or input boundaries are circumvented during processing. Review the official source advisory statement below for specific affected components, classes, and reproduction details.

Source Advisory Statement

### Impact _What kind of vulnerability is it? Who is impacted?_ `langgraph-sdk` incorrectly applies the `actions=` argument on resource-scoped authorization decorators, including `@auth.on.threads`, `@auth.on.assistants`, and `@auth.on.crons`. In affected versions, a decorator such as: ```python @auth.on.threads(actions=["create"]) async def allow_thread_create(ctx, value): return None ``` intended to register a handler for selected actions instead registers that handler for every action on the resource. Because the resource-wide handler is selected before broader fallback handlers, authorization checks implemented in those fallback handlers may not run. An authenticated user may therefore be able to perform actions the application intended to deny, such as reading, updating, or deleting another user's resource. Exploitability and impact depend on the affected handler's behavior: deployments remain protected if that handler independently enforces the necessary action, ownership, or permission checks for every request it receives. Only Python deployments using `actions=` on the affected resource-scoped decorators are affected. ### Patches 0.4.4 ### Workarounds No. ### References N/A
