How to Fix CVE-2026-47385

To remediate this vulnerability, upgrade all affected NocoDB dependencies to a patched release. Both direct and transitive dependencies should be checked, as frameworks or security libraries may pull in vulnerable versions transitively.

nocodb fixed: 2026.05.1
npm install nocodb@2026.05.1
Verify Direct and Transitive Dependencies

Run the following command in your project directory to verify that all resolved dependencies use the patched release:

npm ls nocodb

How to Check if You Are Affected

To determine whether your Node.js application is affected by CVE-2026-47385, inspect your project dependencies using npm:

npm ls nocodb

Analyze the terminal output to locate any version of NocoDB in your dependency tree. If any resolved version matches the vulnerable ranges listed in the table below (for example, versions earlier than 2026.05.1), your application is affected.

Note: The npm ls nocodb command inspects dependencies declared in your package.json and lockfile; it does not perform automated runtime dynamic scanning.

Technical Details

Vulnerability Mechanism & Technical Analysis

This vulnerability is classified under CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal'), where the product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. In NocoDB, software state validation or input boundaries are circumvented during processing. Review the official source advisory statement below for specific affected components, classes, and reproduction details.

Source Advisory Statement

### Summary An authenticated user with base-create permission can attach a SQLite source pointing at an arbitrary file on the NocoDB host, including NocoDB's own internal databases. ### Details The SQLite client and the base/integration create services accepted a caller-supplied filename and passed it to `fs.exists` and `fs.open('w')` without restricting the location. A user could point a source at `noco.db`, at a tenant database under `nc_minimal_dbs/`, or at any writable path the NocoDB process can reach, and then read or overwrite its contents through the regular table APIs. ### Impact Disclosure and modification of NocoDB internal state, of other tenants' databases, and of any file the NocoDB process can read or write. Authentication and base-create permission are required. ### Credit This issue was reported by [@Mouhebbenelwafi](https://github.com/Mouhebbenelwafi).
