How to Fix GHSA-q65p-7p84-495c

To remediate this vulnerability, upgrade all affected Duplicate Advisory dependencies to a patched release. Both direct and transitive dependencies should be checked, as frameworks or security libraries may pull in vulnerable versions transitively.

praisonai fixed: Latest secure release
pip install praisonai>=Latest secure release
Verify Direct and Transitive Dependencies

Run the following command in your project directory to verify that all resolved dependencies use the patched release:

pip show praisonai

How to Check if You Are Affected

To determine whether your Python environment is affected by GHSA-q65p-7p84-495c, inspect your installed packages using pip:

pip show praisonai

Analyze the terminal output to locate any version of Duplicate Advisory in your dependency tree. If any resolved version matches the vulnerable ranges listed in the table below (for example, versions earlier than the patched release), your application is affected.

Note: The pip show praisonai command checks currently installed packages in your active Python environment.

Technical Details

Vulnerability Mechanism & Technical Analysis

This vulnerability is classified under CWE-89: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection'), where the product constructs all or part of an sql command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended sql command when it is sent to a downstream component. without sufficient removal or quoting of sql syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated sql query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as sql instead of ordinary user data. In Duplicate Advisory, software state validation or input boundaries are circumvented during processing. Review the official source advisory statement below for specific affected components, classes, and reproduction details.

Source Advisory Statement

### Duplicate Advisory This advisory has been withdrawn because it is a duplicate of GHSA-wf65-4jjx-q444. This link is maintained to preserve external references. ### Original Description PraisonAI before 4.6.78 fails to validate the caller-controlled dimension argument in the PGVector and Cassandra knowledge-store create_collection() backends. Although schema, keyspace, and collection-name identifiers are validated, the dimension value (declared as int but not enforced at runtime) is interpolated directly into the vector column of the generated CREATE TABLE DDL. A caller able to influence collection-creation dimensions can pass a string such as '3); DROP TABLE tenant_secrets; --' to inject SQL/CQL tokens into the statement executed by the database driver.
