How to Fix CVE-2019-15062

To remediate this vulnerability, upgrade all affected Dolibarr/dolibarr dependencies to a patched release. Both direct and transitive dependencies should be checked, as frameworks or security libraries may pull in vulnerable versions transitively.

dolibarr/dolibarr fixed: 10.0.2
Upgrade dolibarr/dolibarr to 10.0.2
Verify Direct and Transitive Dependencies

Run the following command in your project directory to verify that all resolved dependencies use the patched release:

inspect dependencies for dolibarr/dolibarr

How to Check if You Are Affected

To determine whether your application is affected by CVE-2019-15062, inspect your project dependencies for Dolibarr/dolibarr:

inspect dependencies for dolibarr/dolibarr

Analyze the terminal output to locate any version of Dolibarr/dolibarr in your dependency tree. If any resolved version matches the vulnerable ranges listed in the table below (for example, versions earlier than 10.0.2), your application is affected.

Note: Verify declared build manifests and deployed runtime container environments.

Technical Details

Vulnerability Mechanism & Technical Analysis

This vulnerability is classified under CWE-352: Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), where the web application does not, or cannot, sufficiently verify whether a request was intentionally provided by the user who sent the request, which could have originated from an unauthorized actor. In Dolibarr/dolibarr, software state validation or input boundaries are circumvented during processing. Review the official source advisory statement below for specific affected components, classes, and reproduction details.

Source Advisory Statement

An issue was discovered in Dolibarr. A user can store an IFRAME element (containing a user/card.php CSRF request) in his Linked Files settings page. When visited by the admin, this could completely take over the admin account. (The protection mechanism for CSRF is to check the Referer header; however, because the attack is from one of the application's own settings pages, this mechanism is bypassed.)
